Updates I finally made the swap to linux, Bazzite in particular. Been wanting to ditch windows for a while now, and since my plan of buying a steam machine is up in flames due to the rampocalypse, I bit the bullet and swapped my main gaming pc over. Pokemon Champions is interesting… I was quite looking forward to see what Nintendo would cook up, and while I think the general idea was well-founded, I can’t help but feel the execution is poor. It’s so much faster than S/V so tournaments will be nicer to watch and the free to play rewards are generous. But there’s no teamsheet support and ranked is of course Bo1. Most egregiously there’s no way to save replays? Definitely a little bit disappointing, but I’ll keep an open mind for now. For my initial run to master ball tier I ran Ryoma9901’s Dual Mega team: Created Rewrite of my website! My old website was rather challenging to update, so having one based on markdown posts makes much more sense and I’m looking forward to seeing how the site grows. Updates I’ve started taking my SSBM practise a little bit more seriously. After some disappointment of not being on the Scottish PR and poor tournaments results in 2025, I want to take a push this year to see how far I can go. For now I’m focused on playing more high level opponents, analysing my gameplay more often and watching higher level falcos. I’d quite like to give another fighting game a shot. I don’t think anything will replace SSBM for me but it would be cool to have another game and community to be involved with. The two I’m considering are GGACR and MBAACC. I’ll maybe enter a tournament for each of them and see how I feel! Created The start of this year has been slow, I’ve mostly been working on this website and a small Golang project to help with slippi replay exporting. Other slp2mp4 style tools exist but I just want some experience with Golang and to have a tool I can tailor to my own needs.
